As a UK-based company, this policy complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which provide you with certain statutory rights when purchasing digital content and services.

All paid subscription plans purchased through Reckonly are covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee. This period begins from the date of your initial purchase.

- If you are not satisfied for any reason, you can request a full refund
- No justification or explanation is required during this period
- Your refund will be processed to your original payment method
2.2 Statutory Rights
Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel a contract for digital content within 14 days of purchase. By using our services before the 14-day period ends, you acknowledge that you have requested immediate access to the digital content and understand that you would ordinarily lose your right to cancel once the performance of the service has begun. However, we voluntarily extend the 14-day guarantee regardless of usage.

3. How Refunds Work
Payments for Reckonly subscriptions are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which handles billing, payments, and refunds on our behalf.
Our 14-day money-back guarantee applies to all paid subscriptions: request a refund within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason, and we will issue a full refund to your original payment method — no questions asked.
Refunds are issued in line with this policy together with Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy (available at paddle.com/legal). Refunds may also be granted on a discretionary basis beyond the 14-day period.
Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
4. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. As a UK-based service, your purchases are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Because our calculators are digital content made available immediately, by accessing the service during the cancellation period you consent to immediate performance. We nonetheless honour the full 14-day money-back guarantee above regardless of usage.
5. How to Request a Refund

- Wait for confirmation – We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days

5.3 Response Time

6. Refund Processing
6.1 Refund Method
Refunds are always processed to the original payment method used for the purchase:
- Credit/Debit Card – Refunded to the same card
- PayPal – Refunded to your PayPal account
- Other payment methods – Refunded via the same channel

6.3 Refund Confirmation

7. Subscription Cancellation
7.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard:
- Log in to your Reckonly account
- Navigate to Dashboard → Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm your cancellation
7.2 What Happens When You Cancel
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made to your payment method
- You retain access to all paid features until the period ends
- Your saved calculations and data are retained for 90 days
- After 90 days, your account reverts to a Free plan
- You can resubscribe at any time to regain access
7.3 Cancellation vs Refund
Please note that cancelling your subscription does not automatically generate a refund. If you wish to receive a refund (and are within the 14-day period), you must explicitly request one as described in Section 5.
8. Chargebacks
We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or credit card company. Chargebacks (also known as payment disputes) can:
- Take significantly longer to resolve than direct refund requests
- Result in your account being suspended pending investigation
- Incur additional fees that may affect future refund eligibility
